About the event

Come celebrate the ocean and its incredible inhabitants at the NEST at Robinson Preserve! Get hands-on as you help create oyster habitats, observe plankton under a microscope, and build and pilot your very own underwater robot. Step inside the NEST building to explore a range of ocean-themed activities, from puzzles and puppets to button-making and more. Don’t miss this exciting, family-friendly event packed with fun, learning, and discovery for all ages!

This community event is hosted by Manatee County Natural Resources Department, and Homeschool STEAM has been invited to participate as an educational vendor. Swim on by to learn all about marine science and "fish for shark" facts with our Sphero robots. Come check out our new 3D printer for kids—we'll be sharing fun 3D-printed creatures with you! And so much more! Don't miss a FINtastic morning of family-friendly fun!
