About the event

Join Homeschool STEAM and Minorities in Shark Sciences for an exciting day of shark research! This exciting experience is a great way to explore possible careers in marine biology and experience something you may otherwise not. Participants will get a chance to go out on the waters of Tampa Bay and take part in scientific shark workups led by local shark scientists. Kids will participate in measuring the size of a real shark, identifying the shark and its maturity, taking a small muscle and fin sample, and inserting an ID tag for future research. This is one STEAM experience you don't want to miss!

Spots are limited to 10 students ages 13+

Location: Our boat will leave from Centennial Park (10th street boat ramp, by the Van Wezel)

Guardians need to complete a waiver. Drop off and pick up is at Emerson Point Preserve. Please be on time!
