EarthEcho Water Challenge + Vex VR's Ocean Clean Up with MISS

Join us on a STEAMventure! Kids ages 8 and up (+1 caregiver) are invited to an exciting EarthEcho Water Challenge + a fun VEX VR Ocean Clean Up activity hosted by Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS). Afterward, enjoy the preserve with friends. Pack lunch and water if you plan to stay and play.

Join Homeschool STEAM for this exciting STEAMventure with Minorties in Shark Sciences (MISS) and learn from community scientists who will teach us about ongoing water quality monitoring efforts locally through the EarthEcho Water Challenge, a global water quality monitoring program that has engaged 1.6 million participants in 146 countries. Are you the parent of a young person who’s passionate about protecting local waterways? Come participate in this fun event and learn about the importance of waterway conservation in our own community.

After you drive through the gates, take their first left off the main road to get on the dirt road. Follow the dirt road all the way to the end where you will see the Pavillion and be able to park right there.

We will use the pavilion and have a shaded area where to gather and learn together.

Guardians need to complete the attached waiver here and bring a printed signed copy with you, required at check in. 

Participants should wear closed-toed water shoes and be prepared to get wet up to their waist. 

We also suggest bringing water bottles, bug spray and sunscreen. A bagged lunch is recommended if you plan to stay and play after class.
